Patri Pugliese
It is with great sadness that we learn that Patri Pugliese, one of the leading lights in historical dance and historical fencing, is suffering with inoperable liver cancer.
Patri, thanks for all you have given us, and our thoughts are with you and your family.

Oh, my gosh--I'm very sad to learn this. What a lovely man.

Patri died yesterday,Sunday February 11th. Being Patri, he was doing things pretty much to the last day.

I'm saddened to hear of his passing. It was my pleasure to have my Civil War Era dancing refined under his tutelage.

I am grieved to hear of Patri's passing. I was a brief student of his one summer in Newport. He is missed...

I just heard about Patri. I just want to say thank you to him and his wife for doing what they did for us all in the dancing world. I took many classes from Patri in Ohio.
Thanks again. I am glad you did what you did for us. I know I would never have done this stuff on my own. Patri was needed. And, yes, we all were actually needed by him because we could see that it brought great joy to him to teach even though he could see that we would forget the harder steps when not in class but at the balls.
Thank you for being there!
