In the early ‘30s, the Rumba, based on music brought to North America and Europe from Cuba, became a dance sensation.

In those days of the "Good Neighbor Policy", it was followed by the Samba from Brazil and the Conga, also from Cuba.

Walter Nelson will share from his collection of film footage from the era, showing how those dances were danced in the US at the time - to include in the early years when Rumba music showed up without any real instructions on how to dance to it.
