Historical Picnicking in the San Fernando Valley
I had a very interesting chat with the supervising ranger at Los Encinos State Historic Park where I volunteer. I was talking to him about yesterday's Will Rogers Jazz Age Picnic, and he was saying he was very keen on similar costumed "flash mobs" descending on Los Encinos.
So, if you are a member of a historical group, or have a bunch of friends who like to get together in costume in some historical place, you will find a very friendly reception at Los Encinos.
Los Encinos was a ranch from 1849 to about 1945. If you would like to gather and do some non-weapon related historical costumed activity, in the costume of one some era within that span, and you are comfortable with interacting with members of the public who might come by, let me know.
