Armistice Tea Dance in South Pasadena

02/01/2020 1:30 pm

This is a dance and tea in remembrance of the dawn of peace at the end of the Great War in 1918.

Civilian day wear and uniforms of any nation from the time of the First World War, 1914-18 (even Germans and other Central Powers– we’re at peace now) are encouraged but not required. If you are without historical attire, men should wear a coat and tie and ladies a long skirt and blouse.

Music by Randy and the Whiz Bangs with Sheila Murphy-Nelson singing vocals.

Dance instruction by Walter Nelson. Dances will be One-Step/Foxtrot, Waltz and Tango – all very easy to learn in their basic 1918 style. Light refreshments will be served and an area will be set aside for taking photos.

Tickets are $25 each for paid-up HUSC members and can purchased through PayPal at
