An afternoon of dance and socializing in "Strathern House", the home of Walter Nelson and Sheila Murphy-Nelson, with the large living room serving as a dance floor.

This is an experiment in the concept of using the Nelson home as a dance studio. We'll see how it goes.

The program will begin with dance clips from old movies, followed by instruction in basic early 20th Century social dance (Fox Trot, Tango, Waltz) and "free dancing" to recorded music. Beginners should arrive promptly at 1.

1 PM to 4ish (since it's not a rental space, we don't have to clear out at a particular time).

A contribution of $5 is requested.

1910s-30s day wear is encouraged but not required.

Tea, wine, beer and light refreshments will be served. Contributions of "finger foods" and beverages (adult and otherwise) gratefully accepted.
