01/20/2019 5:30 pm

Dear dancers and Jane Austen Enthusiasts,

I regret to inform you that health concerns have impelled me to come to a decision earlier than midnight tonight.
I fear, dear dancers, that I must cancel Sunday’s ‘drum’ and tea.

I’ve enjoyed your past participation immensely and highly look forward to the pleasure of your company at our next dance and tea on February 17th in Pasadena. See details below.

I shall, however, beg your indulgence. Since I prepare food and seating in advance, when you receive my next invitation or reminder, kindly do me the courtesy of informing me whether or not you shall attend. If you tell me that you're not coming I shall not be offended; on the contrary, while you shall be missed, I should find that information extremely helpful.

Looking forward to seeing you on February 17th.

All best wishes as always,

Your dancing mistress,
Laura Brodian Freas Beraha
