Collegiate and Jazz Foxtrot in 1929
Scenes from the 1929 movie "Dance Hall", showing kids dancing the "Collegiate" style while the rest of the room is doing Foxtrot. As a very early talkie, the sound track is terrible, so I substituted "Sweet and Hot" by the Ben Pollack Orchestra. While most of the moves are pretty familiar to the Shag crowd, it is a nice review of the state of play at the end of the Roaring '20s.
