Monthly Victorian Dance at Simi Valley featuring Quadrilles, Group Dances, and Waltzes. Doors open at 7:00 pm and dancing begins at 7:30 pm. This dance is offered by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District in conjunction with the Simi Valley Senior Center.

Beginner-friendly / Bringing a partner is not required / Historical attire is optional

A dance lesson, covering waltzes, polkas, and set dances like the Spanish Waltz and El Coyote, will be followed by two sets of live music and dancing. Dance lessons at 4pm; live music and two dance sets at 5pm. Music will be provided by The Wayfaring Sisters, who specialize in the popular and folk music of 19th Century America. Walter Nelson will emcee.

CICADA CLUB DEBUT! Gary Greene, Esq. and his seventeen piece Big Band of Barristers features vocalist Mary Stanford. America's number one Legal Band performs the Great American Songbook with music from the Golden Era of big bands. The Barristers together with the Lawyers Phil performed at the Saban Theatre for Beverly Hills' 100th Anniversary. The Los Angeles City Council has declared Gary Greene, Esq. and his Big Band of Barristers "Los Angeles' Only Legal Band."

Join us as we commemorate the 172nd Anniversary of a historic battle that was fought here on the property of the Dominguez Rancho. The 1846 Battle of Dominguez Rancho in Dominguez Hills also know as the Battle of the Old Woman’s Gun. In this two day living history event you will be able to experience the reenactment of the battle as well as the many aspects of life in Southern California during the 1800’s and the Mexican-American War come back to life in the present.
