The 1937 streamline moderne showroom of Crenshaw Motors Ford closed its doors in January of 2007 and lost its integrated neon signage six months later. Although the structure still retains a curved lobby wall with arched windows and a vertical advertising pylon, this beautifully intact dealership is only a shadow of its former self without the verbose, wrap-around neon lettering and the stylized "FORD" moniker. The Museum of Neon Art expressed interest in adopting the dealership and attached repairshop at 3511 Crenshaw Boulevard for its new home, but without aid from the disinterested Cultural Affairs Department, the move was not possible. Calls from the ADSLA Preservation Committee to the Ford Motor Company remain unreturned and it is assumed the Art Deco neon signage has been tossed.
